We supplied custom merchandise for the 9th edition of the Manchester International Film Festival. The Film Festival required a merchandise partner who could produce high-quality customised items, all to be turned around by the start of the event and that's why they chose Clothes2order.
Manchester International Film Festival is a yearly celebration of film. Over the 10 day festival there are a variety of events which include film screenings, award ceremonies and Q&A's.
We paid a visit to the 2023 festival to catch up with festival director, Neil Jeram-Croft, to find out how Clothes2order has transformed their custom branded merchandise.
The range of items chosen by Manchester Film Festival were used as merchandise to promote and commemorate the event. All items were purple to match the events branding.
Additionally, the t-shirts and hoodies where used as uniform for event staff and also volunteer. This was an easy way for visitors to spot who they could ask about the festival.

This hoodie is a fan favourite and its easy to see why thanks to its versatility and quality build. For the film festival, this hoodie had two customisations, the logo of the festival on the centre chest and a graphic displaying the event sponsors on the centre back of the garment. Both provide clear and vibrant branding.

This item provides a great fit and a is a perfect base for any promotional or event merchandise. For the film festival, this item was customised the same way as the hoodie. This provided a great coherent look, perfect for members of staff to be easily identified across the festival.

This item provides a great surface area for print and embroidery customisations, which will help you stand out at promotional events. This large surface area was put to good use by the film festival who chose to have the festival logo printed on the item at the maximum width of 25cm.

"The merchandise we've had this year has definitely raised awareness of the festival. One of the things I've really noticed this year is seeing people walking around the city with the tote bags with the Manchester Film Festival branding on. Having that visibility during the festival with people going around with those tote bags has been fantastic. I think I'm going to at least double my order of tote bags for next year."

For all of Manchester Film Festival's merchandise, customisations had been applied using Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing. DTF is one of our latest customisation methods and provides an exact replication of the original design.
Additionally, DTF is incredibly versatile which means this print method can be applied to a variety of garment types, styles and fabrics. This ensures consistency across an entire order where there are numerous different items, as was the case with Manchester film festivals order.
