From January 1st the UK will be leaving the EU, but here at C2O we certainly won’t be leaving all our valued European friends, customers and suppliers.
We’re working hard with our couriers and partners to ensure that come what may, from January 1st we can continue to supply you with as little disruption as possible, wherever you are in the world.
For our mainland UK customers nothing will change. We have good stock and have assurances throughout the supply chain that there is plenty of resiliency.
For deliveries into the EU, there are a few things that will be changing so please read on if this applies to you, but one thing that will never change is our commitment to offer all our customers the best possible product, service and value – wherever you are in the world.
Important: Please note that due to the current COVID-19 related delays at the UK/France border any orders into the EU that have been placed, but not yet delivered will be subject to the following, in particular duty payments upon receipt and potential further delays.
Deliveries to Northern Ireland
What’s new:
- If you are a VAT registered business customer, from January 1st you will need an XI EORI number. During checkout we will ask if you have a VAT number, if you do then you will also have to enter your XI EORI number to continue. This will ensure the smoothest possible passage of goods. If you are a consumer there will be no changes.
Deliveries to Republic of Ireland
What’s new:
- If you are a VAT registered business customer, we will ask you for your EU VAT number and EORI number during checkout. This will ensure that should border checks become necessary then all the relevant information will be documented. If you have these details please do enter them to avoid delays at port.
- For both business and personal orders please take extra care to provide your best contact number/s. We give you the opportunity to enter a mobile and an alternative number. These will be needed if the courier has to contact you.
- Our couriers are putting in a whole host of new admin systems and processes to get things through customs as quickly and smoothly as possible. They assure us they are not making profit on this necessary service and are charging it to us at £4. This increase will be reflected in our delivery prices.
- As we are registered for VAT in Ireland it will continue to be charged at 23%, the current rate of VAT in Ireland. If you have an EU VAT number you will not be charged VAT.
- Local taxes and duties may be payable upon receipt of the goods into Ireland depending on the status of any trade talks. We will ask you to confirm you understand and accept this during checkout. Overtime we aim to be able to calculate and include any duty payable at point of ordering so there are no surprises, but initially local taxes may be applicable at your end.
Deliveries to the EU

- If you are a VAT registered business customer, we will ask you for your EU VAT number and EORI number during checkout. They assure us they are not making profit on this necessary service and are charging it to us at £4. We do have to pass that cost on but we can assure you we are only passing on direct costs.
- VAT will either be charged as appropriate for your country or in most countries no VAT will be payable at point of order.
- Local taxes and duties may be charged upon receipt of the goods into your country and you would need to pay any duty applied before the courier will release your goods. The courier will be in contact with you about local duties and will arrange for payment. We will ask you to confirm you understand and accept this during checkout. Overtime we aim to be able to calculate and include any duty payable at point of ordering so there are no surprises, but initially local taxes may be applicable at your end.
